FAQs About the CW-C4000 Printer

Q: How does the D3800 differ from the CW-4000 model?
A:  The D3800 model is a lower cost model that is designed for low-volume labeling needs, offering high-quality output in a space-saving footprint.  This versatile printer features a compact design and supports a wide range of media in both roll and fanfold formats, making it ideal for applications such as visitor management and custom, private or seasonal product labeling. The D3800 uses Dye Ink and is suitable for indoor labeling and is dry scratch resistant.  The D3800 will not support textured paper, high gloss paper or continuous labels (will support continuous paper).

In contrast the CW-4000 uses pigment ink and is more suitable for outdoor, water resistant use and chemical applications. CW-4000 supports textured paper, high gloss paper and continuous paper and continuous labels.
